MoveThroughCancer
works with cancer survivors – of all ages and all types of
cancer - and their families to improve survivorship. We provide
fitness programs and wellness education to allow persons with
cancer to safely exercise before, during and after cancer
treatment.
MoveThroughCancer also educates fitness and wellness
professionals in the community about the benefits of exercise
and the special needs and limitations of the cancer survivor in
their physical fitness activities.
What We Do: MTC offers
specialized health and fitness programs and events that combine
cardiovascular, strengthening and flexibility activities to
cancer survivors of all ages, all types of cancers and all
fitness levels. Physical activities programs are led by
experienced coaches and include warm up drills, walking or
running, resistance band exercises, an exercise ball routine and
yoga.
